I feel like German has a word for everything (I mean, this is the language that brought us stammtisch, which means, essentially, “people having fun and being loud at a table.”), so when it came time for me to name my travel blog, I could think of no better term than wanderlust, or an irrepressible desire to travel.
So that’s what I’m doing- starting July 1, I’ll be indulging my wanderlust and moving to Italy for a year(ish). I’ll be in Bologna, living with Anna and (briefly!) Julia, then Anna and I are heading to Rome. Since I’m not a huge fan of the mass email style of communication, I’ll try to be vigilant about updating this blog and answering my emails (and not only because I’ve been told that failure to do so will result in disowning and de-friending… I’ll be good! Promise!).
